Dancing since I was a child, I always had a passion for Hip Hop as well as for Karate. It “helped” me through my teenage years, health & personal problems. So I started dreaming to open my own studio to help young children/teens find themselves, grow and just enjoy the fun of dancing and finding a way of letting go of everything. Never did I think I would run two studios today...

Established in February 2013, Stella Studio opened with 22 dancers. In 2018, we opened in Piet Plessis with 4 dancers, and now we also do Karate. Small communities like these never had the opportunities for Hip Hop and Karate, so my wish came true! All thanks to our Lord Almighty.

“Hip Hop isn’t just for girls...Karate is not only for boys... Hip Hop was started by boys to stay off the streets and let go of gang life. Karate by our own South African, late Sensei Stanley Schmidt (8th Dan) who established the first official South African Japan Karate Association in the '60s.

The ten Hip Hop Styles we specialize in:
Locking | Popping | Hip Hop Old & New School | Lyrical | Stepping | B-Boy | House | Waacking | Krump
